What is the Minimum Age to Become a Pilot?

To apply to any of our courses, you need to have a high school degree or equivalent. Therefore, you need to be at least 17 years old to start the enrollment process and 18 to commence training.

Do I need to meet special medical conditions to become a pilot?

The medical certification verifies your physical fitness to fly as a pilot, demonstrating that you meet the health and physical requirements. Therefore, to become a professional pilot and perform the flight, you must have the ability to obtain the EASA Class 1 Medical certificate and update it every year.

Do I need to speak English to become a pilot?

English is undoubtably the language of Aviation. Both flight training and ground school are taught in English. Therefore, you need to have sufficient knowledge of English (verbal and written), to attend classes and, finally, successfully pass the English Language Proficiency Test. This will allow you to communicate safely in English language with the Megara Airport Tower and other communication channels throughout your training.

What are the academic requirements to become a pilot?

Having knowledge of the basic concepts of Physics and Mathematics is a prerequisite before starting your aviation career. We recommend that you take a short test we have created for you, to see if you have the required level of those subjects. You can find the sample test here.

Do you accept International students?

TAE Aviation Academy, not only accepts international students, but we encourage you to come in Greece and start your flight training! A Type D student visa is required to start your studies with TAE Aviation Academy. This step is only for international students who are not holders of European Union Passport.
