What is the ATPL Integrated course?

The EASA ATPL Integrated Course is the best path to a successful pilot career. The ATPL course is the quickest way to achieve the commercial pilot license without  issuing other licenses. At the end of this training, you will hold a CPL (Commercial Pilot License) with the ME (Multi-engine) and IR (Instrument Rating), as well as the ATPL theory.

Here are the basic entry requirements to be a pilot

  1. Be at least 18 years old to submit an application & at least 18 to commence flight training.
  2. Be fluent in English (verbal and written). Non-native English speakers must provide proof of English Knowledge before starting the training.
  3. Be a High School graduate with an average grade or result of at least 65%.

DESCRIPTION OF THE COURSE

What does the ATP training include?

During the first phase of your ATPL(A) Integrated Course, you will attend 786 hours of in-class tuition with an experienced Theoretical Knowledge Instructor. The instruction is conducted with the use of PadPilot, an advanced learning platform that offers an innovative way of learning to successfully pass the EASA ATPL exams.

The first solo flight is one of the most unforgettable experiences you will have during your pilot career. This first step of your training comprises of at least 12 flight hours with an instructor on a Single Engine aeroplane until you make it to your first solo flight!

At this step of your training, you will fly at least 10 flight hours with a Flight Instructor and 50 flight hours solo cross-country flights. You will learn how to fly across the country and get familiar with traffic pattern operations at different aerodromes.

The Night Training is conducted on a Single Engine airplane in an International Airport in Greece and comprises of 5 flight hours.

The Single Engine Instrument Rating (SEP/IR) comprises at least 55 hours of Instrument Flight Training. Our experienced flight instructors will help you to achieve the transition from visual to instrument flight.

In addition to actual flights, 40 hours of training in TAE’s in-house flight simulator, ALSIM AL250, allows you to perform all necessary procedures including emergency situations.

The aim of Multi Engine and its Instrument Rating course is to train pilots to a proficient level and provide them with the competency needed to fly a twin engine aircraft. This training program comprises of 11 flight hours and is conducted on TAE’s DA42 aircraft.

During this step of your training, you will get to know how to cope with the event of “loss of control in flight”. By flying the famous Cessna F172 airplane, you will develop the necessary competence and resilience  to apply appropriate recovery techniques during aircraft upsets.

MCC training aims to familiarize the trainee with the fundamentals of sharing the workload with another pilot and helps you become proficient in safely operating multi-pilot, multi-engine airplanes. The objectives of MCC training are optimum decision making, communication, allocation of tasks, mutual supervision, use of checklists, teamwork, and support throughout all phases of flight under normal, abnormal and emergency conditions.

The English Language Proficiency is a test that examines the pilot’s ability to communicate safely in English, using plain, non-routine language and not specialized aviation phraseology.

This is the final cost of becoming a pilot. A down payment of 15.000€ is paid on enrollment day. The remaining amount has to be covered in 3 equal installments until the completion of the course.

What is the Modular CPL/IR (A) Course ?

A modular course gives you the flexibility and the time to complete the pilot training on a module by module basis, up to CPL/ME/IR (A) with ATPL Theory Credit.

What are the entry requirements to the CPL/IR (A) Modular Course?

To commence the Modular CPL/IR (A) training, you will first need to complete the Private Pilot Licence (PPL). Additionally, you must have logged at least 155 flying hours, out of which, 100 hours should be as PIC. If you do not already hold a PPL or you don’t have the required flying hours, we offer courses that will cover your needs.

DESCRIPTION OF THE COURSE

What does the CPL/IR (A) Modular Pilot training include?

Your training comprises of 6 phases, including theory and flight training.

Our EASA ATPL Distance Learning pilot theory course is an approved program that includes interactive videos, slides, tape presentations and computer-based training, allowing a student to receive all the necessary knowledge to complete the exams in the 13 EASA ATPL subjects. Apart from the on-line theory, you will also receive 75hrs of in-class tuition with an experience Ground School Instructor. In case the Distance Learning mode is not preferable to you, we can always enroll you to our Full time in-class ATPL theory course.

The Single Engine Instrument Rating (SEP/IR), comprises of at least 15 hours Instrument Flight Training. This may include flying in or on top of clouds, or flying with reduced visibility. You will learn how to fly with sole reference to instruments. With the help of our experienced flight instructors, you will achieve the transition from visual to instrument flight.

In addition to actual flights, you will complete 35 hours on TAE’s in-house AL250, where you will perform all procedures risk-free, including coping with instrument failures, system and engine malfunctions, and other emergency situations.

Finally, at this stage, the PBN is included. But what is performance based navigation? The PBN meaning is performance based navigation and is now part of IR training. (redirection is page PBN)

You will also complete the Night Rating in an International Airport of Greece. A night rating allows a pilot to fly during the night under visual flight rules (VFR). A true aviator should be able to fly under any conditions and this is why EASA Night Rating is so crucial. 

CPL stands for Commercial Pilot License. During this module you will fly 10 hours on Single Engine Piston Aircraft (SEP) followed by 5 hours on Multi Engine Piston Aircraft.

The Multi Engine Class Rating in combination with the Multi Engine Instrument Rating, are the last part of your Modular Course. During this phase, you will fly 8 hours on Multi Engine Aircraft. Flying a Multi Engine Piston DA42 aircraft, is a unique experience, as you will follow the multi engine training which includes operations with one engine simulated inoperative. Additionally, the Multi engine instrument rating (ME/IR) qualifies you to fly cross country without visual reference to ground features in multi-engine aircraft. All of the ME Rating is performed on TAE’S Diamond DA42, which is a multi engine piston aircraft.

At the end of your training, you will complete the final skill test, in order to obtain the EASA CPL/SEP/ME/IR with ATPL theory credit.

What is the PPL(A) course

PPL(A) stands for Private Pilot License for Airplanes. The aim of the PPL(A) course is to train pilots to the level of proficiency necessary, to enable them to fly as Pilot in Command on Single Engine Piston airplanes under Visual Flight Rules (VFR) in non-commercial operations. Of course, if in the future you decide that you want to fly in commercial operations, there is a way! You have the chance to continue after the completion of the PPL and enroll in the Modular course to fulfil your goal.

What does the PPL(A)
training include?

During the first phase of your PPL Course, you will attend a combination of in-class and online tuition of 100 hours in total, with an experienced Theoretical Knowledge Instructor. The instruction is conducted with the assistance of interactive presentations, mock tests with ppl exams questions and everything you will need in order to successfully pass the EASA PPL exams. The EASA PPL exams, comprise 9 subjects in total.

The first solo flight, is one of the most unforgettable experiences you will have during your pilot career. In this phase, you will complete exercises up to the first solo flight. This training comprises a total of at least 10 hours flight with an instructor on a Single Engine aeroplane, until you make it to your first solo flight!

During this part of the training, you will be flying dual flights with one of our experienced flight instructors, in order to complete more complex training exercises and VFR cross-country navigation, and get familiar with traffic pattern operations at different aerodromes far from Megara Airport. This will take you to part 4 of your training.
This stage of your training is of great importance. You will complete at least 10 hrs of solo flights and get familiar with cross-country navigation across Hellenic airspace.
In addition to actual flights, TAE’s in-house AL250 allows you to perform all procedures risk-free, including coping with instrument failures. This stage of training consists of 5 hrs of simulator training.

At the end of your training, you will complete 1,5 hours final skill test, in order to obtain your EASA PPL(A). 1,5 hour
