What are the entry requirements in the Avro RJ/Bae146 Type Rating ?

In order to ensure consistent proficiency at the end of the course, certain qualifications are required for entry.

  1. Valid and Current CPL(A) with ATPL theory credit or ATPL(A)
  2. Instrument Rating (IR) on Multi-Engine airplane (hold or have held)
  3. Valid and Current EASA Medical
  4. English Language Proficiency min. ICAO 4
  5. Multi Crew Cooperation Certificate

What does the Avro RJ/Bae146 Type Rating include?

 

The Avro RJ/Bae146 Initial Type Rating Course, comprises of 3 phases in total:

  1. Theoretical Knowledge Instruction of 80 hours in total. During this phase, you will be taught the Aircraft’s System & Performance. At the end of the course, you will have to successfully pass a Final Exam. The course is conducted by one of our highly experienced Type Rating Ground Instructors.
  2. The Simulator Training, comprises of 8 Full Flight Simulator (FFS) Sessions, of 4 hours each. This phase also includes Line Oriented Flight Training (LOFT). The simulator training is conducted by an Avro RJ/Bae146 Type Rating Instructor. The location of the simulator training, will be arranged, depending on your preferences.
  3. At the end of your course, you will have to pass a Skill Test on Avro RJ/Bae146 FFS, by a Type Rating Examiner.
